Diane Amendola has maintained an active license as a Massage Therapist in the State of Florida since 2010 and also holds licensure in the State of Georgia. Through Blue Ember Massage PLLC, she provides compassionate, therapeutic mobile massage services thoughtfully tailored to support each client’s individual needs and goals. She currently also provides contract services at The Healing House of Alachua in Florida.
A proud United States Army veteran who served honorably for eight years, Diane brings a strong foundation of professionalism, communication, and service into her work. Her background includes more than a decade of public service, including roles with the City of Alachua, the 8th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office Victim Services Unit, and the Alachua County Clerk’s Office.
With more than 25 years of experience in customer and public service, as well as leadership roles, Diane approaches care with compassion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to helping others feel supported, respected, and genuinely cared for.

Heated Himalayan salt stones may be incorporated when appropriate to provide warmth, encourage muscle relaxation, complement hands-on bodywork, and enhance comfort while supporting individualized care. Himalayan salt stones have long been valued in holistic wellness practices.

How do I book a session?

Do you require a deposit?
Deposits may be required for appointments involving extended travel distances or specialty scheduling needs. Any required deposit will be discussed during booking and applied toward the total cost of your session.
Do you offer recurring appointments?
Yes. Recurring appointments may be scheduled weekly, biweekly, monthly, or as needed. Sessions may be tailored to support ongoing pain management, recovery, maintenance care, and overall wellness.
When is payment collected?
Payment is collected at the time of booking or within a designated timeframe following booking confirmation. Additional payment details will be provided during scheduling.
How far in advance should I schedule?
Scheduling in advance is encouraged whenever possible, especially for preferred appointment times or extended travel locations. Same-week or last-minute availability may occasionally be available depending on scheduling.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments canceled with at least 48 hrs' notice may be rescheduled without charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hrs' notice may be subject to a fee, and same day cancellations or missed appointments may be charged the full session fee. Exceptions may be considered for emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.

How does mobile massage work?
Your therapist travels to you with a portable massage table and necessary supplies, allowing sessions to take place in a familiar and comfortable setting without the need to travel.
How much space is needed?
A quiet, space large enough to safely accommodate a massage table and allow room to move around is ideal whenever possible. Space needs may vary slightly depending on the type of treatment being provided.
Can I request specific preferences or accommodations?
Yes. Communication is encouraged before and during your session regarding comfort, pressure preferences, positioning needs, sensory sensitivities, or other concerns to help support a positive therapeutic experience.
What should I expect during my first session?
Your first session begins with a brief intake regarding your health history, areas of concern, and comfort level. Treatment approaches may be adjusted during the session based on communication, comfort, and your needs.
Do I need to complete paperwork?
Yes. Required intake and consent paperwork must be completed prior to your first session whenever possible. Forms are typically sent electronically, though paper copies may be available if needed.
Do I need to provide anything?
A quiet, comfortable space large enough for a massage table is ideal whenever possible. Requests for the use of an electrical outlet may be needed. Please note access to properties and homes with minimal stairs is preferred.
Will I need to provide identification?
A valid government-issued photo ID may be requested prior to your first appointment and visually confirmed at the time of service. This helps support required recordkeeping, client verification and a safe mobile massage experience.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing is recommended before and after your session. Depending on the type of care being provided, some sessions may remain fully clothed. Whenever clothing is removed for treatment, professional draping is always used.

What does trauma-informed care mean during a session?
Trauma-informed care is approached with clear communication, professional boundaries, predictability, and sensitivity to comfort throughout the session. Clients are encouraged to communicate preferences, in decisions regarding their care at any time.
Do all sessions include the same techniques?
No. Each session is guided by your health history, areas of concern, comfort level, and response to treatment. Care may be adjusted from session to session based on your progress and needs at the time.
Are hot stones included?
Yes. Hot stones, including Himalayan salt stones, may be incorporated when appropriate as part of your session to provide gentle warmth, relax tight muscles, and complement hands- on bodywork.
What is scar release therapy?
Scar release therapy may incorporate manual techniques and Dolphin Neurostim™ MPS Therapy to address restrictions and adhesions associated with scar tissue following surgery, injury, or tissue trauma. Both recent and longstanding scars may benefit from scar-focused care when appropriate.

Medical Considerations
Are there times massage should be avoided?
Yes. Certain acute illnesses, infections, injuries, and skin conditions may require postponing or modifying treatment. If you are unsure whether massage is appropriate, please contact Blue Ember Massage prior to your appointment.
Can I receive massage with a sunburn?
Massage cannot be provided over an active sunburn, significant skin irritation, or certain acute skin conditions, as treatment may increase discomfort or further irritate the tissue. If you are unsure, please reach out before your appointment.
What medical conditions should I disclose?
Please disclose any medical conditions, injuries, surgeries, allergies, medications, implanted medical devices, or other health concerns that may affect your care. Providing accurate health information helps support a safe and appropriate treatment approach.
When should I postpone treatment?
If you have a fever, an active infection, certain skin conditions, or any injury that may make treatment inappropriate, please contact Blue Ember Massage before your appointment. Your therapist can determined weather treatment should be rescheduled or modified for your safety and comfort.
Are there contraindications for Dolphin Neurostim™ MPS Therapy?
Yes. Certain medical conditions and health concerns may affect whether Dolphin Neurostim™ MPS Therapy is appropriate. Contraindications, precautions, and consent requirements will be reviewed proir to treatment.
Can I receive massage after surgery or injury?
In many cases, yes. Massage, scar-focused care, and Dolphin Neurostim™ MPS Therapy may be appropriate following surgery or injury. Medical clearance may be required. Please discuss any recent surgeries, injuries, or restrictions with your massage therapist.
Children & Family Services
Do you work with minors or children?
Yes. Services may be provided for children and adolescents when appropriate. Treatment approaches are adjusted based on age, comfort level, and each child's unique needs.
Is parental consent required?
Yes. A parent or legal guardian must complete all required consent forms prior to treatment for any minor receiving services.
Does a parent or guardian need to be present?
A parent or guardian is generally encouraged to be present during treatment for younger children. Children's sessions are approached at the child's pace, and treatment will only proceed when the child is comfortable and willing to participate. In some cases, additional time or follow-up visits may be needed to establish comfort before treatment begins.
Do you work with infants or sensory-sensitive children?
Yes. Services may be provided for infants and sensory-sensitive children when appropriate. Care is adjusted to support, comfort, communication, and individual needs, recognizing that every child responds differently to treatment.
